Tony and Cathie Hancy have collaborated with international winemakers to produce Prancing Horse Estate Burgundy and Chablis made from first-class vineyards. Their frequent trips to France have also enabled them to secure a great selection of wines from other highly regarded boutique growers.

HENRI GIRAUD

Until recently Henri Giraud was sold directly to private customers in France and Italy. Tony Hancy is the exclusive importer of this ultra prestige champagne house in Australia. The current winemaker is Claude Giraud, the 12th generation of the Giraud-Hémart family. The wines are superb, the Henri Giraud Ay Grand Cru Fut de Chene being regarded by some as the most complex Champagne in Ay.

As a regional benchmark winery for biodynamic wines in the Mornington Peninsula, Prancing Horse has added a portfolio of outstanding wines made in the Famous French regions of Burgundy and Chablis.These wines made under the Prancing Horse label include several Grand Cru vineyards.



 

PASCAL MARCHAND

Pascal Marchand has made great wine in Burgundy since 1983 and now consults with winemakers throughout the world. Using Burgundian techniques to allow for the ultimate expression of terroir, his Burgundian style is keenly felt in his signature wines.



  

DOMAINE LA SOURCES FEES

This picturesque vineyard of 4.5 hectares with 16th century manor house is situated in Mâcon, the southernmost region of Burgundy. Using traditional ‘Méthode Champenoise’ they produce a beautiful Aperitif style sparkling Gamay with a wonderful mousse and enticing flavours of cherry and herb.



  

DOMAIN SALADIN

The Domaine Saladin is located in the South Côtes du Rhône, and is a family vineyard passed down from fathers to sons and father to daughters, since 1422. The thirteen Rhône grape varietals of the Domaine are cultivated and vinified organically.



 

COLLOVRAY ET TERRIER

Since 1928 this beautiful family business, with deep roots in the Mâconnais, has made prestigious wines from distinguished vineyard sites.  Hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit has allowed quality wines that are an expression of Burgundy and Languedoc-Roussillon.



  

JEAN FÉRY & FILS

The Domaine Jean Féry & Fils is a family owned and run estate of almost 10 hectares of vineyard. Amongst  the fifteen appellations are a parcel of Gevrey-Chambertin in Côte de Nuits and Puligny-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. For four generations the winemaking has aimed to be as environment-sustainable as possible.



 

FRANCOIS VILLARD

Francois Villard of Domaine Francois Villard trained as a cook before turning his passions to wine in 1989. He first purchased land in the commune of Saint Michel in Condrieu appellation and over time his wide range of wines display a sensibility, mindful of the soul and the environment. Today he is one of the most regarded winemakers in the northern Rhone.
